Coping with Chronic Pain is difficult on the best of days, and for many people, distraction is what can help them get through tough times. Our classes help you to get back to your life by making friends with your body again. — Mindfulness and awareness techniques can teach you how you respond to your pain – physically and emotionally – so that you can bring about a new relationship to the pain and to your body – you can take control again.

You can get a massage every week and spend a month on the beach twice a year but if you never learn to relax on your own – in your own environment – in your own body – you will continually reach out for another source of relief. Every day, every breath is a chance to take a rest on your own. In class, learn active and interactive techniques to bring your body and your mind to rest.

doesn’t need to mean sitting in full lotus pose for hours and “blissing-out” with monks! Most people benefit most from some basic mindfulness techniques to help them get “back-to-now,” or “back to the body” whenever they are feeling stressed, angry or just out-of-sorts.

It is so important just to be in the body, in the present moment…It sounds so simple, yet it takes daily practice to make a difference in your well-being. Meditation instruction can give you tools to help you take your practice into your everyday life, to manage stress, anger and pain.

 

Yoga sessions can be taken in-studio or in your home. If you have a group of people you can get together in your home or office, discount rates are available.
