Classes and Seminars – Meditation

Meditation doesn’t need to mean sitting in full lotus pose

for hours and “blissing-out” with monks! Most people benefit most from some basic mindfulness techniques to help them get “back-to-now,” or “back to the body” whenever they are feeling stressed, angry or just out-of-sorts.

It is so important just to be in the body, still – In the present moment…It sounds so simple, yet it takes daily practice to make a difference in your well-being. Meditation instruction can give you tools to help you take your practice into your everyday life, to manage stress, anger and pain.

I like to teach a few very basic types of meditation for regular people:

  • Meditation for People Who Can’t Sit Still
  • Body Centered Meditation for People Who Work Out (or who want to)
  • Meditation for People with Chronic or Acute Pain
  • Start with Yourself: Turning Kindness Inward

 

Group meditation classes are held locally and are by Dana or Donation unless otherwise listed. Private sessions or classes integrated along with bodywork or movement sessions are especially helpful.

 

**Any of these classes can be taken in groups or individually. I am happy to come to your office or home for groups as well. Group Classes Scheduled will be taught to one or more people who show up! Ideally, classes will have 4 to 12 participants, depending on space.
